Verified Reviewer |*** lvp flooring scratches & dents. They DO NOT uphold warranty!
Purchased *** lvp flooring. Store sample doesn't match what was received by installers.
*** says they never do! Flooring scratches and dents even though I was told by flooring america salespeople that it doesn't. Claim denied because they said its normal wear. What!
I spend over $11,000 plus installation and they dont stand behind their horrible product. DO NOT BUY *** PRODUCTS!
- Bad warranty

Verified ReviewerResolved: Install
- - Old floor looks red next to new; quarter round large and mismatched.
- - Toilet left open; sewer gas; emergency plumber 380; second opinion.
None…my problem was with installation I felt would void warranty. Shaw staff reported they warranty their product and it had nothing to do with defect or flaw of product. Nothing …product is fine as long as it’s installed correctly I assume.
I requested different molding for the price I paid it should be less of an eye sore. I showed pictures and videos to different flooring company and they said they did it all wrong from the direction of flooring and shoe molding or even matching quarter round should have been used and squishing sound didnt sound right. The company left the toilet open so the house flooded with Gas and I got really sickplumber they suggested turns out not to be someone they work with . They installed toilet plumbing innards incorrectly so I had to by new assembly and fix it not too much money but if I had to pay for plumber it wouldve been 300 dollars?
All company employees have been nice but something deep down tells me Ive been scammed so Im having another company assess flooring and theyll tell me for sure if Ive got a problem. I did have project manager come out and assess for any problems but he said the squeaks, dips , and quarter round are all within normal parameters and gave me a number to painter who can paint the quarter rounds. Im glad he came out but Im still getting a second opinion. For peace of mind.
By the wayit took three days for plumber to install toilet when he was supposed to be there that daywas able to come and fix toilet for 380 at emergency price. I waited for 180 price I was quoted. Sewer gas filled my home and made me sick.
No one ever said sorry. Thats it
User's recommendation: Take samples home, ask about trim, no how your floor should be installed, look at pictures of floor in full room

Verified ReviewerPurchased very high end Shaw wool carpet for our bedroom less than 6 months ago. More than 6,000 dollars for a small room. It already looks worn and we don’t even wear shoes in the house.
- - The retailer filed a claim for us.
- - The inspector said the carpet looked worn but the claim was denied for lack of fiber damage.
The retailer we bought from agreed with us and filed a claim. The claim inspector stated that the carpet looked worn but the claim was denied because there was no fiber damage.
How can a brand new wool carpet look worn in a few months?
We are older adults with no children or pets. We are very disappointed in the response from Shaw and would not recommend them.

Verified ReviewerMen who scream at women work here
- - Driver yelled about parking; I apologized, but he kept yelling; I described it as abusive and suspect a police record.
A delivery driver did not like where I was parked and did not realize that I have friends own the building that they are renting.
He screamed at me and I immediately said Im sorry cause I realize he was upset but he kept yelling so I yelled back and I let him know that Im gonna *** him up business wise because I am more powerful than he knows
Just another example of a man being abusive, and I wouldnt be surprised if this person has a criminal record. It seems as though there are some criminals working for Shaw because of the criminal like behavior that I experienced firsthand. I would be surprised if this person doesnt have a police record.
- Sexist behavior
- Sexist behavior
Preferred solution: I want written apologies sent to the management building that they are renting. And once my good friend receives that letter, I will consider other options.
User's recommendation: The men who work here think that it’s appropriate to scream at women while they’re on delivery runs they yelled at the wrong person when they approached me and they got the same treatment back. I do not recommend doing business with them because they are sexist in my experience.

Verified ReviewerI have to replace floor one year old
- - Followed installation exactly; seams buckled after six months.
- - Inspector blamed installation; 1/4 inch gap at walls; $5k wasted; avoid Shaw vinyl.
I followed all installation instructions to the t and in six months the it started losing the seams which causes it to buckle. I filed a complaint and they sent out an inspector.
They said it had installation issues. I am a machinist by trade and accused of being a perfectionist. That floor had a 1/4" gap at walls and not one tile was compromised.
5k wasted. I warn you to bypass Shaw vinyl plank flooring

- - A piano will be placed on the flooring.
- - They seek guidance on floor protectors and the type.
Hi, we had your line of flooring installed. It's the classic series Floorte waterproof type.
We're going to place a piano on the flooring. Can the flooring take the weight without leaving an indentation?
Do we need floor protectors and, if so, what type? Thanks.

Another contractor came in and removed and replaced the same thing. The start happened again, so I went to Stiens and told them my situation.
They asked for a sample.
Within 2 weeks, I was told they were replacing my floors, and I couldn't ask for anything better than that. Thank you, Shaw Floors and Stiens.

Verified ReviewerTerrible company
- - Floor is hardwood, 4 years old, and most of the surface is worn.
- - Shaw offered $3500 toward an $8000 floor; only affected planks will be replaced.
My floor is hardwood and started to wear 6 months in and has continued to wear. I called Shaw and they said they would only replace the affected planks.
They finally sent a inspector out, he agreed that the floor was in terrible condition for the age ( 4 years ) Most of the surface is worn off. Shaw came back and offered me $3500 towards a $8000 floor. They won't cover demo or installation.
Do not buy anything from them , they are very rude. I have been dealing with this for 6 months and have picked a floor , ordered it, and it still has not arrived.

- - Shaw product is bad and warranty coverage is weak.
- - Installers are not properly supervised.
- - Management unresponsive after defects.
Bad product, and Shaw does not stand behind their warranty. Do not spend your hard-earned money at this Sherwin-Williams, as they:
a. do not install floors properly
b. their installers are not properly supervised
c. they do not stand behind the product they sell, nor their craftsmanship
After paying this Sherwin-Williams many thousands of dollars to have a floor installed, multiple defects immediately began popping up. Despite notifying management and multiple attempts to contact them since, crickets really poor customer service and product.
i.e., issues a consumer does not expect when purchasing an industry leader Shaw product, nor when paying a premium to have a commercially respected company like the Sherwin-Williams Company install their flooring.

Verified ReviewerIn six months the floor has lost locking ability
- - The floor was installed with all instructions followed.
- - I spent 5k and the floor has to be pulled up.
The floor had all instructions followed to the t with 1/4 gap on ends and no seams less than a third of tile. I wish I had just burned 5k instead of installing this floor and watching it do this. Now the entire floor has to be pulled up and thrown in the trash, which actually is a good place for it.

- - Shaw vinyl plank flooring installed in 2020; it cracked after a year and now looks bad; Shaw and Lowe's blame each other.
BUYER BEWARE!!!
We installed Shaw pet friendly water resistant hickory oak vinyl plank flooring in 2020, it started cracking after a year and now it looks terrible.
I called Shaw and they said that it was Lowe's responsibility and vice versa.

Verified ReviewerFloors 3 years old and falling apart!
- - Brand-new spec home with preinstalled hardwoods; stain is peeling.
- - The warranty work replaced boards, but surrounding boards began peeling.
Brand new home. It was a spec home,so the hardwoods were already installed.
The stain is literally peeling up from the floors and the quality is so poor that I cannot get the stain to match.
The builder had the installer replace several boards while we were still under our new home warranty, but all that did was make the boards surrounding the replaced boards to start peeling! We owned 5 other home with hardwoods and these are the only ones that have done this!
